This chain features nitrile 'O'-rings, which retain a special vacuum injected grease around the critical pin and bush area. Renthal R3 chain is the choice where a combination of long life, high strength, light weight and excellent impact load resistance are important considerations. Designed as a multi purpose chain for both off-road and road applications up to 650cc. Shot-peened alloy steel side plates for high tensile strength and maximum impact load resistance. Nitrile 'O'-rings which retain a special vacuum injected grease around the critical pin and bush area, which extends the life of the chain. High carbon alloy steel bearing pins for excellent resistance to wear, for both road and off road riding conditions. Special finish: gold colored side plates and copper coloured rollers to help prevent corrosion. Perfectly matched chain for Renthal Sprockets allowing maximum power at the rear wheel. This also extends the life of both the chain and sprockets. Please note that the Renthal R3 'O' Ring chain is primarily designed for off-road and is not designed for road bikes with 520 chain conversions. If the road bike was originally equipped with a 520 chain then Renthal R3 chain is suitable. However, if the road bike originally came with a larger size chain (i.e 525, 530, 532 or 630) then R3 is not suitable.
